Choicetick Scout Bazar is an independent publication based in Manchester, writing practical buying guides for household appliances.
What we do
We compare appliance categories using published standards and declared figures: EU and UK energy labels and the EPREL registry, ENERGY STAR and EnergyGuide data, AHAM CADR ratings, EN 1822 filter grades and manufacturer spare-part commitments. We translate them into running costs and practical advice.
How we score
Running cost carries the heaviest weight, followed by measured performance, repairability and spare parts, noise, and ease of maintenance. Features score only when they save time or money in everyday use.
Independence
We do not sell rankings or sponsored placements. We do not currently use affiliate links. If that ever changes, every affected page will say so clearly at the top.
